How can I prepare my child for their first visit to the dentist?

Kids Brushing Teeth | Childrens Dentist in ViennaWe want your child to enjoy a lifetime of excellent oral health. The best way we can do this is by taking the steps that let them see that taking care of their teeth is not a chore.

Your own attitude has a lot to do with the way your child reacts to their dental visits. Children learn from their parents, and you can be sure that if you’re feeling stressed and anxious about the visit, they will sense it and respond the same way.

No matter how you feel about going to the dentist, you need to impart a sense of ease and confidence. If they know that it’s okay with mom or dad, you’ve already taken an important step on the road to great dental care.

Talk To Your Children, And Your Vienna Dentist

Spend some time talking to them about what to expect, but make sure you emphasize that it’s a fun, new adventure. It’s helpful if you can find some children’s books about going to the dentist. You can even do a pretend “exam” on them and let them do one on you.

When your child arrives at our Vienna dental office, we will go out of our way to make sure that they have an enjoyable experience. Our team is caring and gentle, and we will never begin any treatment until we know your child is completely comfortable with us.
