Since everyone has different needs, the length of time it takes to correct misalignment issues with Invisalign varies from person. As an adult, it will depend on the severity of your problem, but usually takes about a year. Young adults and teens usually take longer - about the same time as traditional braces.
The only way we can give you an accurate idea of your treatment time is by evaluating your case. First, Dr. Sanati and Dr. Shahram need to assess your situation to see if you are a good candidate for Invisalign treatment.
Once we’ve determined that Invisalign is right for you, we will take pictures, x-rays, and precise impressions of your teeth. These will be used to create a virtual 3-D image, which we will use develop a customized treatment plan, including the future movement of your teeth. At this point we will be able to give you a good idea of the length of treatment.
You will be fully informed about your treatment because we will show you a virtual representation of the movement of your teeth at each stage of treatment. One of the great things about Invisalign is that you will also be able to actually see the difference as you progress through treatment.
