Gentle Dentistry in Vienna VA

When patients come to us after staying away from the dentist, they often sight anxiety as a reason for avoiding their necessary dental appointments. This can create serious dental conditions such as periodontal disease, decay, and even tooth loss. Dental anxiety often comes from a negative experience in the past or a memory from childhood. Our dentists at Tysons Dentistry are committed to providing gentle dentistry for our patients and giving them the personalized treatment that helps alleviate any anxiety about dental treatment.

We believe dentistry can be pain-free! Both Dr. Sanati and Shahram have a gentle touch and will only proceed with treatment if you feel completely comfortable. You are in control!

For patients who have difficulty getting or staying numb, a strong gag reflex, or who just need a little help relaxing during dental procedures, we offer sedation dentistry. For many of our patients, sedation dentistry is the key that unlocks the world of fear-free dental care. We provide two sedation dentistry options:

Nitrous oxide sedation – This is our mildest form of sedation and is inhaled through a small nose mask. It enters and leaves your system quickly. It takes the nervous edge off your appointment. Since it is so mild, you can drive within a few minutes of completing your dental appointment.

Oral sedation dentistry – For patients who have moderate to severe dental anxiety, we offer oral sedation. Oral sedation is a prescription medication that you will take before your dental appointment. Since its effects are longer lasting, you will need someone to drive you home.
