EPIC Surgical in the 22182 Area
Gum Surgery: If you are experiencing bleeding or inflamed gums or you have noticed that your gums are receding, you are probably seeing the signs of gum disease. Treatment with the EPIC laser removes the inflamed areas with less discomfort, less bleeding, and faster healing times than traditional gum surgery.
Gummy Smile: A “gummy” smile occurs when too much gum tissue is exposed, making your teeth seem irregular in shape or size. EPIC Surgical treatment can improve the appearance of your smile by shaping the gums. This process is referred to as gingival contouring and safely removes excess gum tissue comfortably and quickly.
Tongue Tie: This occurs when the band of tissue under your tongue is too short, restricting movement and affecting your speech. Using the EPIC Surgical laser, this tissue is “released” without anesthetic or sutures.
Oral Growths and Cold Sores: The EPIC Surgical laser can also be used to comfortably remove small “tags” or papillomas, growths that usually result from a traumatic cheek or tongue bite. Cold sores can also be treated, decreasing healing time, and reoccurrence.
EPIC Laser Pain Therapy
Do you suffer from temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD)? Until recently, the only options for treatment were night guards and relaxation techniques.
These are still effective therapies, but now we can combine them with the pain relief provided by EPIC Laser Pain Therapy. This topical heating treatment
temporarily increases blood circulation and relieves discomfort by helping muscles relax. The standard procedure takes about 10 minutes per side and is usually offered in a series of 2 to 6 treatments to provide relief from annoying TMD symptoms.
