What's involved with getting porcelain veneers?

porcelain veneers and womanPorcelain veneers are a cosmetic dental treatment that can improve your appearance dramatically. They can be used to correct a variety of problems and are virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

Placing veneers is not a very complicated process and can usually completed in just two or three visits to our Vienna dental office.

The Process Of A Veneer Procedure

First, we will examine your teeth and review your dental history to make sure veneers are the best choice for you.

Next, we will remove a very small amount of dental enamel to prepare your teeth for the veneers. This provides enough space around your gum line to allow your veneers to fit perfectly.

Then we take impressions and send them to our dental lab where your custom veneers will be created. After a couple weeks you will return to our office and we will place the veneers. They will be bonded securely to the surface of your teeth, then shaped and polished for a natural appearance.

However, we may find that there’s another option that is more appropriate for your needs, such as a dental crown. If you’re interested in finding out if porcelain veneers are a good fit for you, please contact our office. We will be happy to arrange a complimentary consultation to assess your needs and provide you with all your treatment options.
